It was a lazy Saturday at the Arnold residence in the dog days of summer. Unbeknownst to Cat, Harrison enlisted the help of a dear friend and member of the local sailing community to approach the couple and ask if they would be willing to pose as models for a nearby yachting company's Instagram page and website. Never one to turn down a sunset cruise, Cat jumped on the opportunity, and eagerly informed Harrison of their new modeling gig. That afternoon, Harrison and Cat made their way to Mystic. Harrison feigned ignorance about the location of the boat, and Cat warned him that they were going to be late. Upon arrival, members of the boat company's staff welcomed them, in addition to the photographer for the quote -- unquote Instagram page. The couple left the dock and began to pose for the photographer on shore. Fearful of the precious cargo in his pocket going overboard, Harrison wasted no time before dropping to one knee and asking Cat to marry him. Cat and Harrison often joke that her immediate response was no, as in, No you're not!, in disbelief. She quickly amended that with Yes! After returning to the dock to pick up the photographer, the couple enjoyed their sunset cruise, complete with champagne, as newly betrotheds. Waiting for them at the dock upon their return were both the Arnold and Mezes families, as well as some of Cat's best friends. The group celebrated at a local restaurant and then danced the night away in downtown Mystic. Harrison and Cat are deeply grateful to have spent their childhoods on the Connecticut Shoreline. They cherish the fact that their proposal happened in this area, and they look forward to celebrating their love with friends and family, near and far, back on the Shoreline.
