We met at a seasonal training for Franklin County Metro Parks. Dustin was hired to be a Park Ranger and Catherine was hired to be a Nature Center Attendant. At the time Dustin (of course) had his handle-bar mustache. Our first interaction was during Seasonal Driving Training where another seasonal asked Catherine "have you ever kissed a guy with a mustache?"....& her response "No". The other seasonal then asked Catherine "do you want to kiss him?" pointing at Dustin.

We had worked together for a couple of years at Scioto Audubon Metro Park; Dustin decided this was where he was going to propose. On August 10th, 2018 Dustin came up with the idea to have a "date night" on the roof of the Grange Insurance Audubon Center where we would stargaze and eat Jersey Mike's Sub. After Catherine left work, she headed over to Scioto Audubon where Dustin was waiting. After climbing on the roof, Dustin said "Do you know why this is my favorite park? Because this is where I met you, where we fell in love, and now...where I ask you to be my wife". Catherine said "Yes of course! Where are the subs?".
