The Edith J. Carrier Arboretum, a woodland sanctuary on the campus of James Madison University, is a public urban garden and forested greenspace that preserves native plant species, provides opportunities for research and promotes knowledge of the botanical and natural world for people of all ages.
Valley Pike offers local craft beers and wines. There is a sandwhich shop within the market and food trucks outside. Inside seating is available along with a covered back deck to enjoy the outdoors.
Tour the caverns as part of a small, personally guided tour. Each group is never more that 20 guests. You will enter through a side entrance and move into the chambers used during the Civil War.
