On February 25th, 2025 we were blessed by the Justice of the Peace in Harris County, Texas. We enjoyed a private ceremony surrounded by our parents and siblings, a day that we truly cherish. That being said, we are ready to celebrate with those who have seen both of us grown into the people and couple we are today! That is all of you!
In Early 2017 Cornelius transferred to Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska where we both were student athletes at the time. After a brief meeting that year, it wouldn't be until early 2018 that our relationship would turn friendly and eventually develop into something more. Only a few short weeks after making things official we took our first trip together the summer of 2018 to Denver, and then Houston to "meet the parents". Since then, we have been side by side through many phases of our lives together over the past several years. We were engaged the spring of 2023 in our home surrounded by family members. This past year 2024 we made the move from Nebraska, back home to Cornelius's hometown of Houston, Texas where we hope to stay and grow a family of our own. After 7 years together we were eloped in Houston joined by our immediate families. After our ceremony we celebrated on the beach here in Galveston in front of the San Louis resort. Now a few short months after our elopement, we are overjoyed to celebrate our union again with family and friends in the same place we first celebrated the evolution of our love.
We will come together not only to witness the union of our love, but also the beautiful blending of two rich and vibrant cultures — Indonesian and American. This marriage is more than the joining of two hearts it is the coming together of two families, two histories, and two worlds. From the warmth and deep-rooted traditions of Indonesia to the diversity and openness of American life, this union is a celebration of love that transcends borders. As we celebrate this union, let it remind us all that love is universal, and in its embrace, there is always room for harmony, growth, and unity — no matter where we come from.
