Originally introduced by family and friends, we resisted the idea that we might be compatible for almost a year. During that same year, we became the best of friends. Then the craziest thing happened. Carl called Catherine and asked her on a date. Of course she said yes! The rest is history.

Catherine's second graders had been working hard studying fairytales. Carl offered to come in and read a fairytale to them one afternoon in May. Of course, Catherine took him up on this. There was one rule. He had to read The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. Carl showed up with his own plan. Instead, he read the second graders a homemade fairytale about our love story - how we met, became great friends, began dating, moved in together, and ended the story with one last important question. Fighting the tears, Catherine said, "YES!" All the kids cheered and each one of them received a ring pop. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
