Trying to get more social and connect with new people, we both decided to go on a trip with Kevin and George down to Tybee Island in July 2020. Somehow, Ethan and I just happened to ride down together. We spent the whole ride talking and getting to know each other more. While we were getting ready to go to the beach, Ethan told me he wanted to take me on a date! We made plans for two weeks later and spent the rest of the weekend together and have been with each other every day since.
Little did he know I would come with two cats as a package deal. In September 2021, we brought Luke home with us from Royal Animal Refuge. He got settled in with us just in time for Catherine to test positive for COVID. It was nice having a "lap" dog for those two weeks. After a while we realized just how much Luke needed a friend of his own and in Janurary 2022, we adopted Lana from Royal also. The kitties approve - somewhat.
"Would you want to dress up for church with me?" So I know exactly where I wanted to propose, which was Drake Field in Peachtree City. I thought over and over the best way to get her dressed up but not to give anything away. I came up with the plan to take her to church so she would dress nice and I had a whole group of guys to help by meeting us there and to go get some lunch to give the photographer some time to set up . Well my photographer happened to cancel, so I scurried around to find a camera and got two friends of ours to capture the engagement. I would like to say that she was surprised but I feel like she knew, because I was definitely acting funny. She asked to use my jacket at church and I had to tell her no because the ring was in there. I do think she was surprised to find Chad and Eleasha hiding in a boat with a camera. It all happened the way it was suppose to and I would not change a thing about it.
