The RSVP date is September 1st. It really helps us out to have final numbers by then so we can finalize things like seating, catering, and other important details. Thanks so much for helping us stay organized!
Our wedding discount with the Tygart Hotel in downtown Elkins expires on August 24th. The sooner, the better though if you have a room preference.
We don't expect gifts, we're just excited to celebrate with you! If you really want to bring a gift though, we do have an Amazon registry and a Fiestaware registry, and we always love receiving cards. www.amazon.com/wedding/share/ritchie-sening (Amazon) www.myregistry.com/giftlist/ritchie-sening (Fiestaware)
Outside, on the hillside behind/below the dining hall. You'll park at the entrance and simply walk to the other side of the building towards the line of trees. We'll make it very obvious and there will be a golf cart available to shuttle anyone who might appreciate the assistance!
The ceremony and reception are both at Camp Pioneer. The reception is inside Hammer Assembly/Torner Dining Hall, just a short walk away from the outdoor ceremony spot on Vespa Knoll.
We’ll be providing the main dishes and dessert, so no pressure there! We’re just asking guests to bring a side to share — and it definitely doesn’t need to be enough for everyone. Just a dish you’d enjoy contributing, and we’ll all end up with a fun, communal spread! Camp Pioneer has a full Kitchen so no need to worry about a dish getting hot or going cold during the ceremony. Just drop off your dish at the dining hall (right next to the parking) as you make your way over to where all the lovey-dovey stuff is being said. Pro Tip: Use disposable pans OR mark your containers with tape and a marker (we'll also have some on hand!) so that we know what serving ware goes where at the end of the night.
That's okay! We understand that some of our guests have health or time complications that make it difficult to stay for lengthier events. Just let us know when you RSVP if you'll be coming to just the ceremony or staying for both parts of the celebration.
We’re going for a mixed semi-formal / cocktail vibe! It’s the perfect chance to dress up and still feel comfy enough to enjoy the celebration. Ladies, feel free to rock a fun cocktail dress or a dressy jumpsuit. Keep the grass in mind when choosing your shoes—wedges or flats work best! Gents, a nice suit or dress shirt with trousers will do the trick.
"Doors" open 30 minutes before the ceremony, but we kindly recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to ensure that you’re seated before the start of the ceremony.
Thank you for checking beforehand! To help us accommodate everyone comfortably, we kindly ask that you refer to the listed names on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!
Yes. While the ceremony and reception are more geared towards adults - we're excited to celebrate with all our loved ones, including the tiniest of them!
15 minutes from downtown.
The Taxi/Uber system is pretty sparse in Elkins so be prepared to drive or carpool. Thankfully, Google Maps and most GPS systems easily recognize the address when you type in Camp Pioneer at 38 Pioneer Circle, Kings Run Rd, Beverly, WV. There will also be noticeable signs marking any important turns along both the paths, no matter if you're coming from the direction of Elkins or Beverly - Camp Pioneer is between the two locations.
Camp Pioneer has a parking lot at the main entrance next to the dining hall and someone will also be directing people to where guests can park in the grass if/when that becomes necessary.
There ceremony is planned for outdoors, however, should it rain - we will relocate inside Hammer Assembly / Torner Dining Hall where the reception is already planned for.
We'll have a variety of non-alcoholic drinks available as well as a selection of beers and wines for those looking for something a little more festive.
