Things To Do

Here are a few recommendations for activities near Woodland Hills and Topanga. Please feel free to reach out to Catherine or Zack with any questions on this list or for other options. And please let us know if you end up checking out anything from our list!
Cafe on 27

Cafe on 27

1861 North Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Topanga, CA 90290

An iconic restaurant with treehouse vibes, views of Topanga Canyon, and an incredible menu, Cafe on 27 shares an owner and a lot with The 1909, our wedding venue. We highly recommend getting a reservation a few weeks ahead of time if you'd like to eat here during peak meal times.

Endless Color

Endless Color

123 South Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Topanga, CA 90290

An unconventional pizza cafe and market. Walking distance from some other local shops. You can take this $1 shuttle to be dropped off by the restaurant: https://pw.lacounty.gov/transit/TopangaBeachBus

JOEY Woodland Hills

JOEY Woodland Hills

6344 California 27, Los Angeles, CA 91367

Upscale, sit-down restaurant. A good option for large groups.

Topanga Village

Topanga Village

6256 California 27, Los Angeles, CA 91367

A charming outdoor shopping plaza with over two dozen dining options, including Cava (Cath & Zack's favorite).

The Getty Villa

The Getty Villa

17985 Pacific Coast Highway, Los Angeles, CA 90272

A must-see for anyone interested in Greek and Roman art and history. The stunning grounds were inspired by a Roman villa, and as you explore, you will feel like you're walking around a level out of Laura Croft: Tomb Raider. Built in the 1950s by oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, The Getty Villa is dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The collection has 44,000 Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities dating from 6,500 BC to 400 AD. Admission is free, but requires a timed-entry reservation.

Tuna Canyon Trail Head

Tuna Canyon Trail Head

2802 Tuna Canyon Road, Topanga, CA 90290

A 3.8 mile hike leading to incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and California coastline. This trail is appropriate for hikers of all experience levels.

Topanga Lookout Trailhead

Topanga Lookout Trailhead

Saddle Peak Road, Malibu, CA 90265

A two-mile hike to a lookout point with colorful graffiti and unmatched views of the Santa Monica mountains. This trail is appropriate for hikers of all experience levels.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica

Santa Monica, CA

One of Southern California's most iconic towns, Santa Monica is only 22 miles from Woodland Hills. Visit the famous Santa Monica pier and ride the roller coaster or ferris wheel, shop and dine on Promenade street, and enjoy the beach and nightlife.

Malibu

Malibu

Malibu, CA

If you've ever visited Zack in California, he's likely taken you on a day trip to Malibu. With 27 miles of uninterrupted public beaches, Malibu is our recommendation for those looking to experience a Southern CA beach. Point Dune and El Matador Beach are favorites, but check out Staircase Beach if you're looking for someplace more remote. Malibu is also known for its memorable hiking trails, with Solstice Canyon and Charmlee Wilderness Park being our top recommendations. Kristy's Village Cafe is a great dining option for a sit-down meal to conclude your beach day.
