An iconic restaurant with treehouse vibes, views of Topanga Canyon, and an incredible menu, Cafe on 27 shares an owner and a lot with The 1909, our wedding venue. We highly recommend getting a reservation a few weeks ahead of time if you'd like to eat here during peak meal times.
A must-see for anyone interested in Greek and Roman art and history. The stunning grounds were inspired by a Roman villa, and as you explore, you will feel like you're walking around a level out of Laura Croft: Tomb Raider. Built in the 1950s by oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, The Getty Villa is dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The collection has 44,000 Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities dating from 6,500 BC to 400 AD. Admission is free, but requires a timed-entry reservation.
If you've ever visited Zack in California, he's likely taken you on a day trip to Malibu. With 27 miles of uninterrupted public beaches, Malibu is our recommendation for those looking to experience a Southern CA beach. Point Dune and El Matador Beach are favorites, but check out Staircase Beach if you're looking for someplace more remote. Malibu is also known for its memorable hiking trails, with Solstice Canyon and Charmlee Wilderness Park being our top recommendations. Kristy's Village Cafe is a great dining option for a sit-down meal to conclude your beach day.
