We feel incredibly lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives! Unfortunately, our venue space is limited, so we can only accommodate the guests named on your RSVP. As much as we love your kiddos, this will be an adults-only celebration.
Mount Dora has many Airbnb options - we highly recommend these as they will give you a unique way to experience the town. If you're unsure of which Airbnb to stay in, please feel free to text Caterina - she has a list she's been collecting. If you're more comfortable in a hotel, there are a few options close by. Eustis and Tavares are close by (15-20 minute drive), and Orlando is 30-45 minutes. Note: we personally do not recommend the Lakeside Inn. The Mission Inn and Resort is also close to the venue if you'd like a shorter drive home after the party!
Our wedding will be a formal event, and we ask that guests wear black attire. As our ceremony will take place in a church, we kindly request attire that is respectful of the setting.
Please try out the local restaurants! Some of our favorites are... Wave - sushi; their menu is crazy, but please get the crab rangoon mozzarella sticks Goblin Market - beautiful setting, the tomato butter appetizer is a must-try Allyson A Bakeshop - pastries - we suggest you get a variety with a vanilla iced coffee Foxtail Coffee - iced vanilla espresso always Pieces Rising - beautiful waterfront fine dining Shadrach's - pizza Las Palmas - Cuban Copacabana - Cuban, a late-night cafe Bonbon will always hit the spot! The Yardery - American classics The Highland Cafe - amazing breakfast! Try the biscuits and sausage gravy, you won't regret it! The Handlebar - funky little bar with the cutest design - Palomas & Carajillos are delish! (Ask for Dakota!)
Mount Dora is such a charming town, there are experiences at every turn. We highly recommend taking a drive around town to see all the cottages and buildings. If you're in the mood for some shopping, hit downtown and don't forget to visit the Mount Dora Olive Oil Shop and Cooper's Alley (adorable store with great finds!). If you're in the mood for vintage shopping, a visit to Renniger's is a must! A sunset boat tour is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon - see Mount Dora from the lake (sunset is the best time!). If you're around on Sunday, we highly recommend the farmer's market. Don't skip out on the sourdough, chicken pot pies, and freshly made hummus. Walk around and mingle, the market is different every weekend, so you're bound to find something new and exciting.
