Visiting Portland Maine should be on any beer lover's bucket list. While the entire city has incredible breweries, Allagash White is our personal favorite, so we recommend this one!
Cool off with a swim at nearby Weston's Beach (less than 5 minutes away from Hardy Farm) or choose kayaking, canoeing, or tubing on the Saco River at Saco Bound. There is also Diana’s Baths a very popular natural "swimming hole”.
Kezar Country Club offers public access to golf and scenic Kezar Lake is a great spot to rent a boat at the Kezar Lake Marina. Nearby you’ll find “Ebenezers” a quaint pub surprisingly known world-wide for its assortment of Belgian beers and worth the stop.
This New England themed mini golf course is a Cohen family tradition. We like to get ice cream from the Lakeside Dairy Bar afterward and take a stroll along the lake.
Nearby North Conway NH, offers a wide assortment of choices from restaurants (we like Barley & Salt), breweries, tax free outlet shopping, and the Conway Scenic railroad. For the young and young at heart there’s Cranmore Mountain Adventure Park and for the little ones, Storyland amusement park in Jackson.
Kennebunkport is a charming coastal town that makes for a great day trip. We recommend taking a detour and perhaps getting lost on Ocean Avenue to admire the beautiful homes!
We stop here for lobster rolls and ice cream on our way back to New York. Don't miss the scenic cliff walk nearby, as well as a year round Christmas store called Uniques & Antiques, which is arguably Cate's most favorite place in all of New England.
