Alexis endured a lot growing up with me as her big sister, and I’m so grateful she decided to be my friend and confidante after everything I put her through. She is one of the most fun people I know and can have an entire conversation made out of movie quotes.

Jerry Stieg

Best Man

Mitch met Jerry through the FFA and they lived together for 3 out of the 4 years of college. Mitch and Jerry like to "out-nice" each other, including purchasing incredibly nice gifts for one another. Jerry's daughter, Amelia, will be getting a pony from Mitch next Christmas. Shhhhhh ;)

Kirby Harlow

Kirby and I have been getting into trouble together since the fourth grade. Without Kirby, I would never have met Mitch and I can't imagine our wedding without her by my side!

David Barrett

Mitch met David at a bonfire at Tech. Since then he’s become one of his best friends, and though younger than Mitch, bears the title of 'Uncle Dave'.

Ana and I met in fifth grade and survived middle school together. Ana will always be my friend because she has the late night footage of middle school Cate up past her bedtime, and it must be protected at all costs.

Jansen Young

Mitch met Jansen through Dylan and David. Jansen welcomed Mitch into what was, and arguably still is, the Three Stooges. Jansen is always down to ride on a beach or football trip. Also, he’s not a cop.

As my roommate for several years in college, Becca has been through some of the best and worst times. Some of the best include adventures to NYC and Woods Hole, and the worst being the process of making my bed when we lived in Bromley. Luckily, Becca has lots of footage of both.

Morgan Smith

Mitch met Morgan when he stayed at Morgan's house on an out of town Holston FFA visit. Mitch wanted to stay on the sofa, but being the generous hosts that the Smith's were, they made Mitch sleep in Morgan's bed and made Morgan sleep in his brother's room. This was the beginning of many wonderful years of friendship and to this day, Mitch prides himself on sleeping in Morgan’s bed before Morgan’s wife ever did.

Charlotte and her husband, Jerry, knew and loved Mitch long before I did. I actually met them on our third date. They confirmed for me that Mitch has, by far, the best friends that I have ever known.

Chandler Vaughan

Mitch served Chandler as a mentor in the FFA and Chandler has been returning the favor ever since. One of Mitch’s favorite memories with Chandler is the long hike in the Smokies which almost resulted in the ending of Chandler’s life. Make sure to ask them about this story ;)

Mary-kate Brooks

I met Mary-kate a few weeks before being introduced to her basement-dweller (Mitch). She and her husband, Dylan, have welcomed me into their home and lives and introduced us to the great sport of pickleball.

Mitch met Dylan through FFA and they have been close friends ever since. Despite their close friendship, Mitch didn’t actually learn Dylan's name until year 2 of knowing him.
