Anyone who knows us knows that our love story was pieced together in a way that felt slightly out of order—falling in love before meeting in person, getting a dog before getting an apartment, getting married before our wedding day...I'll stop here for the sake of preserving our reputation as responsible adults. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned while creating our lives together, it’s that God’s timing is far greater than our own. In late January of 2023, we matched on Hinge. What started as a lighthearted text exchange, quoting the movie Step Brothers, led to a 4-hour, 20-minute phone call, igniting a love that would change the course of our lives forever. Despite being 2,700 miles apart, it took just five days for us to realize we had just found our better halves. What an incredible concept... could you truly fall in love before meeting in person? Against all odds (and maybe common sense), it worked for us! However, let's make one thing very clear: results may vary, and we are not endorsing falling in love with strangers on the internet. We spent the following two months on the phone as much as possible, strengthening our bond and laying the foundation for the life we would build together. This love, created at a distance, has become an integral part of our relationship and has helped forge the couple we are today. Our story has taught us that strength is built through challenge. Like any other couple, we've been tested by a series of trials and tribulations. Distance has been a recurring theme in our relationship—from our unconventional beginning to military deployments and trainings across state lines and foreign seas. While distance has often kept us apart, it has also bred an unwavering strength that defines us. Each challenge that we have endured together has truly brought us closer to one another, further solidifying the foundation that has led us, and all of you here right now. If you are reading this, you have played a valuable role in keeping us grounded while distance took its toll. Your love, support, and presence have been our constant, and you are the community that carried us through. We love you! With that being said, welcome to our wedding website! Yes, we are getting married again. Why get married once when you can get married twice? It's a Manber thing. With love, The Manbers (JT, Cate, & Fish)
