We were both students at Florida Gulf Coast University when we met through mutual friends. Javier was working at a gun range with a guy who happened to be dating one of Catarina's roommates. After hanging out as a group, Javi finally worked up the nerve to ask me out and we had our first date at Longhorns.

It was supposed to be a typical dinner with "Christian's Posse" at Cooper's Hawk but while in the car with Tatiana, Cliff, and Christian, I was handed a blindfold and told to "put it on- that there was a surprise for all the women". After asking if I was being kidnapped about a million times, I was led out of car and down a brick trail. When I was finally allowed to take the blind fold off, Javi and I were under a pavilion where he got on one knee and asked to marry me...
