How do I get to Marshall's Landing For Welcome Drinks?

Answer

Marshall's Landing is the bar at the Merchandise Mart! When arriving at the Merchandise Mart, please arrive at the south entrance of the building (River Side) and enter through the main door. If you see the River when you arrive, you are in the right place. Once you enter through the main door, Marshall's Landing is up the stairs to your left on the second floor. There will be signage to direct you and elevators available for those that need them.

Is there parking at The Merchandise Mart for Welcome Drinks?

Answer

Parking is difficult near the Merchandise Mart, so we strongly recommend Ubering or taking public transportation to our event. If you do drive, there is street parking on Hubbard St snd various parking garages in the area, which are a short walk from the Mart.

What is the dress code for Welcome Drinks?

Answer

Our Welcome Party Welcome Party Attire is Summer Cocktail! Ladies: Breezy cocktail or midi dresses with summer heels or sandals is perfect Gents: Dress pants with a button-down or polo; jackets optional - Absolutely no need to wear a tie! Loafers or dress sneakers are great.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Guests may arrive to St. Clement as early as 2:15pm CT. We kindly ask that you arrive by 2:45pm as our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00pm CT.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional; Gowns & tuxes are preferred but not required! We would love to see everyone in fun summer colors if you have them but absolutely not required :)

How do I get to Cocktail Hour when I arrive at the Chicago History Museum?

Answer

Cabs & Ubers will drop guests off at the History Museum's front door on Clark Street and there will be signage to direct you to the back terrace. Please refer to the map at the top of this page for directions that take you from the Chicago History Museum's front door and parking lot to the back terrace where Cocktail Hour will take place. Please note: If you have limited mobility, please enter through the History Museum's front door and security will escort you through the building to the terrace.

Is Parking Available At the History Museum?

Answer

While Uber is highly recommended, should you choose to drive, paid parking is available at the CHM Lot on Stockton Drive, across the street from the History Museum entrance. Please see map at the top of this page for directions. Please bring your parking ticket to the front desk for a voucher. The History Museum is a short walk from the parking lot to the venue, so we would recommend dropping off any guests with limited mobility off at the front door of the museum to be escorted to through the museum to the back patio.

While we love your little ones, our wedding ceremony and reception will be an adults-only celebration.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue capacity limitations, we can only accommodate guests named on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

Will any events be outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, our cocktail hour will take place on the terrace of the History Museum. The terrace in back is concrete, so no need to worry about grass with heels Our ceremony & reception will be indoors.

Is transportation available?

Answer

Yes, on Saturday busses will pick up guests at the History Museum and run continuously to The Westin starting at 10pm.
