Nick and I both started working at the Mill in 2017, he as an assistant brewer for Third Window, me behind the bar at Potek Winery. We were passing ships, although friendly with one another for about two years. In early 2019 our friendship started to grow after Nick asked for my number via Instagram. I'd get off work and bring my crossword puzzles over to the brewery, where he'd pour me a beer and I'd ask him any relevant Star Wars, science or music questions (some of which I didn't need help with...). Our coworkers were starting to get suspicious and would relentlessly tease me that there was something deeper afoot. One particularly late night at the brewery I decided I couldn't wait anymore and made the first move. Things progressed slowly and secretly from there. Nick inadvertently met my entire family during Pete and Vic's wedding weekend, and while he joked that it was a little soon to meet the whole clan, I told him he should know what he's getting himself into. We discovered that we share a lot of the same values and by the summer of 2019 it was official. We moved in together in April of 2023 and Nick was at a Grateful Dead concert last July when he decided he didn't want to wait any longer to make an honest woman of me. We just want to be around our favorite people, in a place that holds a lot of value for the both of us.
