We first met on a dating app, swiping right on each other. Neither of us were looking for anything serious. Our first date was at a small Chinese restaurant. We spent hours laughing and swapping stories. We later talked about how bad the food was, but that didn’t seem to matter much. There was definitely a spark. We became boyfriend and girlfriend in October of 2022 and not even 6 months later, we were so excited to sign a lease and move in together. About a year later, we decided to look into adopting a dog. That summer, we brought Oscar home. At that point, we had already known we wanted to grow old with each other. Getting married and building a future together had come up several times. In May of 2025, we took a trip to Colorado to visit some friends. We made special plans to see Garden of the Gods (Cats favorite place in CO). We went off on our own that day hiking around the park, climbed to the top of one of the massive rock formations. We sat next to each other, taking in the view. That’s when Mark asked me to marry him. It is one of our most precious memories. And now we are counting down the days to celebrate our love with all of our closest friends and family!
