We could not be more excited to celebrate our wedding with all of our favorite people by our side! For those traveling in, we are so excited to welcome you to the City of Cleveland! Cleveland holds a special place in our hearts. Cat grew up spending her summers at Lake Erie, and now it's where we're bringing together the people we love most to celebrate our marriage. Whether you're a first-time visitor or an old friend of the city, we want to offer you a warm welcome. We hope you enjoy your time in Cleveland! We've put together everything you need to make the most of your time here, from the events, favorite local spots, and travel information. We cannot wait to see you!
We both landed in Washington D.C. fresh out of college, chasing careers and whatever came next. In January 2019, that turned out to be each other. Our first date was at Sette Osteria, an Italian restaurant on 14th Street in DC. Evan ordered in Italian. Cat shared stories from her travels. We learned that we share some of the same favorite movies. By the end of dinner, neither of us was ready for the night to end. We found our way to a speakeasy called Tilt, where Evan introduced Cat to her new favorite cocktail, a penicillin. We made it official not long after, and fell in love as we explored the streets of DC. Then the pandemic arrived. The streets cleared. We didn't like being apart, so we walked three miles across DC just to be in the same room. We learned to make cocktails at home, we went skating together, and we spent time at the park making music and art. Evan missed being by the water, so Cat got a kiddie pool for her backyard. Stripped of distraction, we found out exactly who we were to each other. We shared a dream of living in New York City. In the fall of 2020, Brooklyn became home. A year later, we moved into a cozy Brooklyn apartment with red countertops. Despite sharing a small space, our love for each other continued to grow. In the summer of 2024, Evan took Cat on a trip to Spain and Portugal. We took a train ride to Sitges, a sun-drenched beach town outside of Barcelona. Evan proposed. He arranged everything: a walk along the water, photographers tucked quietly nearby, a dinner waiting after. Cat said yes, immediately. Anyone who has spent time with us knows that our love and care for each other is contagious. We're excited for what's ahead — the laughter, the partnership, and the family we hope to build. We cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends by our side.
