Catherine and Dante met on a beautiful day at Katy Trail. It was the first truly nice day of the year, so Catherine, her dog Oakley, and a group of friends headed to Ice House to enjoy the weather. Some of the guys joined too, including Dante and his Giant Schnauzer, Walter. As the only two people who brought dogs, Catherine and Dante were naturally drawn to each other. They ended up sitting across from one another at Tequila Social (though “ended up” might be generous. Catherine had a hand in making that happen). Conversation came easy, and they quickly hit it off. When the group decided to continue the evening at Dante’s house for Espresso Martinis, Catherine made a quick exit, assuring everyone she’d rejoin later. As anyone who knows Catherine can guess, that never happened. Luckily, Dante wasn’t deterred. The next morning, Catherine woke up to an Instagram DM from him, and before long he had asked her out on a date that very day. They took Oakley and Walter for a walk along Katy Trail and spent hours talking at Happiest Hour. From that first date on, they were inseparable, and the rest is history.
