Catherine and Chris met against all odds, in the height of the pandemic! Chris had been planning on asking Catherine out the next time he saw her, but then the pandemic hit. During the isolation, Chris didn't want too much time to pass, so he decided to take a chance, and ask Catherine out on Facebook in June of 2020. When Catherine got that Facebook message, she was shocked! She thought Chris was already married! She had no idea he was single and available, and planning to try to get to know her just months before. On their first date, Catherine and Chris walked 12 miles on the C&O canal. Conversation was easy and organic. Needless to say, it was a great first date, and there would be many more. They took the next step to move in together after about 1 year, but knew after only a few months that they were perfect for each other. Catherine really knew that Chris was a keeper when he agreed to adopt a cat who Catherine was watching for a friend. Catherine was not allowed pets where she was living, and the cat's owner was going to have to return the cat to the shelter due to unforeseen circumstances. Anyone who knows Catherine knows she loves all animals, especially cats! Catherine and Chris had only been dating a few months, so asking her new boyfriend if he would adopt a cat for her was a bold move. Nevertheless, she proceeded. Chris was so afraid of cats at this time, but was open minded and willing to try something new, and thus began our life with our sweet Marley. Catherine and Chris now have 2 cats they've adopted and love with all their hearts! Their compatibility was clear from the start, but their dedication to making the lives of each other and those around them better has been the key to their success.
