What is "beach formal" attire?

Answer

This is a very general way of saying that you can go beach formal or casual, or somewhere in between. Dress for the elements (sand, sun, surf), but dress to impress. For the ladies, you can wear a formal sundress, cocktail dress, or dressy skirt with top. For guys, you could wear linen or khaki pants (or slacks) and a button down, with the option to get as dressed as you like. Just no tuxedos, please.
