Alex and Matt matched on Bumble in 2018. Alex was swiping through when she came across Matt's profile. She was immediately attracted to him, but noticed a major red flag...he was wearing a Michigan jersey in one of his pictures. Alex graduated from MSU in 2017 and is a die-hard Spartan. After reading through his profile and seeing that they had similar interests (coffee, dogs, the gym), she decided to take a chance. They quickly matched and Alex started the conversation with the pick-up line "what's your favorite dog?". The rest is history.

He enlisted the help of her best friend, Meagan. The two worked together to plan the perfect evening. Alex thought she was just going to birthday drinks with friends at the Monarch Club (Detroit's best rooftop and view of the city), but little did she know what was in store. The girls all went on the rooftop to start taking pictures - Matt texted Meagan when he arrived so she could get Alex outside. All of a sudden, Matt was there and down on one knee! For the first time in her life Alex was speechless. She tried nodding to show her enthusiastic yes, but when he was still on the ground, she said "Of course I will, what the f---, get up!". They were able to celebrate with her friends and take pictures with a breathtaking view of downtown Detroit.
