There are plenty of amazing bars, breweries, and restaurants on 5th and neighboring streets that are within walking distance of venue. Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, is located here. Our current favorite bar for fun night out is Double Deuce.
Great Italian food with trendy bars and speakeasys. Our favorite restaurant is Buon Appetito. It is also right off the bay and offers a farmers market on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
A cute little area of town to explore the history of San Diego and many authentic Mexican restaurants. We love to go to Old Town Saloon to play pool and Home & Away for anyone looking for a sports bar with amazing food.
This is the bar we met at! It is a great place to grab some drinks and play pool if you're in the Ocean Beach area
This cliffside overlooks the ocean and provides amazing views to enjoy at sunset. This where Catherine took Lino to enjoy his first San Diego sunset. The address listed is the neighborhood with parking if you want to watch the sunset from the top of the cliff.
Almost every Sunday we go to Cornado Beach to watch the sunset and look at the stars and planets. Cornado is also home to city and ocean views, the famous Hotel Del Cornado, and a quaint downtown area great for walking around or riding bikes around the island. The island is accessible by ferry (leaving from Little Italy and The Convention Center) or a drive across the bridge.
Full for all ages and a great day activity for people who are spending a little extra time here
For our military and history lovers, the USS Midway is a fun tour to take to experience life on a ship and see an array of military planes
