We met through mutual friends while I was in high school and he was stationed in Delaware - and honestly, everyone thought we were both crazy! Luke came and visited for six months straight until I graduated high school, and we continued long-distance for two years. Somehow, between countless road trips, endless adventures, and constant FaceTime calls, here we are now - and we couldn't be more excited for what comes next.

For the proposal, Luke came up with the perfect plan: he booked a photo shoot to get newer couple photos with the same photographer who took our first couple photos, since I had been mentioning wanting new pictures for months. We ran up and down Kendall Hills in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, laughing, posing, and dancing. Eventually, we walked through a trail to an opening of Kendall Lake... and the beautiful setup he had waiting. Before I even knew what was happening, Luke dropped down on one knee, said the sweetest words (we both blacked out for this part), and I said the easiest yes of my life. Totally worth all the cardio in heels!
