Travel Note
We’ll be arriving in Guadalajara on Tuesday, July 7th, and we’d love to have as much time as possible with you! We recommend that guests arrive by the evening of Thursday, July 9th, in time for a welcome reception that night. The wedding will take place on Friday, July 10th, followed by a Tornaboda (after-party) on Saturday, July 11th—because one celebration just isn’t enough!
Flight
Guadalajara has one major airport, Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) which is accessible via most major airlines (Volaris, Viva Aerobus, United, Delta). GDL offers direct flights from many major U.S. cities—just be sure to book early for the best rates! Once you arrive, our selected hotel is just a short drive from the airport. Uber, Didi, and taxis are readily available, or you can rent a car if you plan to explore. We recommend arriving by Thursday to settle in and relax before the big day. Tip: When arriving, Uber is not always allowed entry into the airport for pickup so you may have to get a taxi before exiting the airport doors. Prepay at the taxi stand inside the terminal. All you will need to give them is your hotel/rental destination. Don’t forget your passport, and feel free to reach out if you have any travel questions. We can’t wait to welcome you to Guadalajara!

House Or Rental
If you’re joining us for the wedding weekend, renting an Airbnb is a fantastic option! Guadalajara has plenty of beautiful and affordable places to stay throughout the city. Some popular neighborhoods to consider include: Centro Histórico – for classic architecture and walkable sights Zapopan – a quieter area with parks and local charm Zona Expo and Chapalita – close to the Westin and well-connected Colonia Americana – trendy, artsy, and full of nightlife Tlaquepaque – a colorful artisan town just 20 minutes from the city Each neighborhood offers its own personality, amazing food, and easy access to everything you’ll want to explore.
