People always said, "There are plenty of fish in the sea" but it is clear that you're the only one for me. We met for this first time on a hot and rainy Monday night in the beginning of July 2016. Since we are both teachers, it was the start of our summer break. Sam was living in the upper east side at the time and like the gentleman he is, drove out in his 2003 Honda Accord to Long Island to take Christina out on their first date. Being that it was a blind date, and the first words Christina said to him were "Do you want to meet my mom?!", Sam met Angela before he really met Christina. He came up to her front door and introduced himself to her mom and brother Nick and charmed them from the minute he met them. They headed to Novita Wine Bar, one of Christina's favorite spots, for their famous sangria. Realizing the many mutual friends they had through SUNY Cortland, as well as both being elementary teachers, the night consisted of endless conversation and connections. It was safe to say it was effortless from the minute we met.
Fast forward three years, and we have our first apartment together in Whitestone, Queens. We had been living together for 6 months when Sam popped the big question. He proposed under the Brooklyn bridge in Dumbo, Brooklyn a place that has always been close to Christina's heart. His proposal was followed by a photoshoot, brunch at Cecconis, a hotel room filled with rose pedals and champagne and a surprise proposal party with 80 of their closest family members and friends. Sam did everything in his power to make the day absolutely perfect for Christina, and he did. We are enjoying a 2 year engagement and are getting married on July 4th, 2021! We look forward to celebrating with our friends and family as well as enjoying a lifetime of happiness and love.
