Black Tie An evening wedding where men wear Tuxedos with a black bow tie and women wear formal floor-length gowns. Black Tie does not mean you must wear black, however traditionally men would wear a bow tie and black tuxedo.
It’s customary in Jewish tradition to not marry on Shabbat. This year Shabbat will end officially at 8:52pm in which case our Rabbi will hop in his car and head over to the wedding venue. We have chosen to host the Cocktail hour first beginning at 8pm, so please enjoy some snacks and refreshments as we prepare for the ceremony once Shabbat has ended.
Yes! We will provide a shuttle between the venue and both the Hilton Garden Inn and the Tapestry in Roslyn.
We met online back in 2016 on J-swipe, a Jewish dating app. Our first date was at a bar in Manhattan where Rebecca watched an entire NBA playoff game! It was love at first sight!
Weather permitting, we plan to have the ceremony outside. Otherwise we will make a decision to either tent the area outside or move to an indoor location.
We will certainly miss you! If you cannot make it, please RSVP an “No” so we can plan accordingly.
We understand that COVID-19 is a real concern we’re all navigating in our lives. It is our hope that the virus will not create a negative impact on our wedding. And in order to minimize any impact, we’ve established the following protocols for our event and ask that you review the information and consider our requests before attending our event. We hope having this information available to you gives you some comfort in joining our celebration. About the Venue: The wedding will be held at The Royalton Mansion at 33 Club Dr, Roslyn Heights, NY 11577. The capacity for the venue is 275 and we expect no more than 150 attendees (including vendors and staff) at the event which is only 55% capacity on the venue and will allow for more space amongst guests. Cocktail Hour will be held indoors with access to outdoor space (weather permitting). The ceremony will likely be outdoors in the courtyard (weather permitting) and dinner will be held indoors with windows open (weather permitting). Wherever possible, we will open doors and windows to maximize airflow in the space. The Royalton Mansion has installed a HVAC air-filtration system for the venue. Their staff wear masks and gloves throughout the event and they provide hand sanitizer stations on each level and at the bars.
About our guest protocols: In an effort to minimize the risk of any individual bringing COVID to our event, we ask you to follow the three attendee protocols below: 1. We are asking all guests and vendors who are attending our wedding in-person to please be fully vaccinated or provide a negative PCR test before attending the wedding. Given the fact that we will be eating and drinking throughout the evening, we will not be requiring masks for our guests. 2. If you’re not well on the day of or within 72 hours of the event, we ask that you refrain from attending our wedding. While we’ll be disappointed not to see you, we will happily celebrate another time. This includes any fever within 24 hours of the event, COVID-like symptoms, or known exposures. 3. If available to you, please take a home or office rapid test Saturday morning. If your test is inconclusive or positive, please do not attend our event. We are so looking forward to celebrating with you next week and we thank you immensely for helping us keep each other safe.
