The Coffee Shack
The Coffee Shack is a family owned local restaurant with a fantastic view of 26 miles of the Kona coast, overlooking Kealakekua Bay. Our scenic lanai offers an incomparable view of Kealakekua Bay, where the famous explorer Captain James Cook first arrived in Hawaii. We are perched high on the mountain slope overlooking the lush mountainside of fully producing 85 year old coffee trees. The Coffee Shack proudly serves 100% Kona coffee, homemade bread, & pastries, and 100% Aloha! Open Thursday - Tuesday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Basik Açaí
No-frills space specializing in healthy fare such as açaí bowls & smoothies, with outdoor seating. Open Monday - Saturday 8:00am - 2:00pm
Kona Brewing Co.
Great place to grab some liquid aloha! Always busy and they don’t take reservations so plan accordingly! Kona brew offers brewery tours and you can grab a growler from the growler shack. Make sure to try the pepperoni rolls! Open daily 10:00am - 9:00pm
Da Poke Shack
Da Poke Shack specializes in take out style poke bowls. Super fresh and delicious poke bowls with multiple styles flavors and sides. Make sure to come early because they close once they sell out! Open Monday - Saturday 10:00am - 4:00pm
Umekes Fish Market Bar & Grill
“UMEKE” is the Hawaiian word for “ BOWL”z a majority of menu items are designed to be served in bowls. Design your own custom meal by selecting from a wide variety of Hawaiian inspired entree items accompanied by their choice of sides. Open Daily 11:00am - 9:00pm

Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park
Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, established in 1916, is a United States National Park located in the U.S. State of Hawaii on the island of Hawaii. It encompasses two active volcanoes: Kīlauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the world's most massive shield volcano. We recommend checking out the website to plan your visit and to see what closures may be in effect. Also please plan for at least a 2 hour drive to get there!
Kua Bay
About an hour north of the hotel you will find this beautiful beach. Parking can be tricky and make sure to bring your own snack, water bottles, towels and sunscreen! Does require a bit of a walk down some rocky terrain.
Mauna Kea Observatory
For adventurous souls you can do the drive up on your own either at night to see the clearest sky’s you can imagine or for sunrise. It can be very cold at the peak and it’s not the easiest drive so it won’t hurt to have 4 wheel drive! You can also book a sight seeing tour! Keep in mind the drive is about 1.5-2 hours to the summit from the wedding hotel!
Feast & Fire Luau, Outrigger Kona Resort
The Outrigger Kona presents the Feast and Fire Lu’au Monday and Thursday evenings Kona’s Premier Lu’au Experience. The tantalizing menu features slow-cooked Kalua pork, taro rolls with lilikoi butter. Enjoy desserts like pineapple upside-down cake, Kona coffee chocolate cake, and haupia, a traditional Hawaiian coconut pudding. The luau and dinner show offers a full bar with beer, wine, and our signature Mai Tais. Greenwell Farms Kona Coffee Tour
Inspired by the Napa Valley Wine Tour, Greenwell Farma offers a complimentary guided tour of their coffee farm and processing facilities daily from 9:00am-3:00pm. From seed to cup, guests are given an inside look at the history, farming and processing of coffee before sampling Greenwell Farms 100% Kona Coffee. Tours walk over unpaved, uneven terrain, with mild upslope and downslope. Unescorted viewing of the farm is prohibited. Tours last 45-60 minutes and coffee is available for sampling both before and after the tour. If your group is over 15 people, please contact us to arrange a Private Group Tour.
