Flight
For those of you traveling from afar, there are a few airports servicing the Bay Area. SFO and OAK are the major airports to fly into, and the drive to Mendocino from each of them will be about 3-3.5 hours. Santa Rosa (STS) is a regional airport in Sonoma county (with nonstop flights from LA, Seattle and San Diego), and the drive from there is about 100 miles (2 hours). You have the option of renting a car when you arrive to drive up to the wedding, or if you do not want to rent a car, you can connect with someone who is driving up from SF to hitch a ride with them.
Rental Car
Leave SF via the Golden Gate Bridge heading north on the 101 for 85 miles until you reach Cloverdale. From there, take CA-128 West Towards Mendocino and Boonville, for about 55 miles. Highway 128 West is a very windy and scenic drive, through Anderson Valley, the town of Boonville and the Anderson Valley Brewing Company. There are also opportunities to stop at some wineries along the way. Just before you hit Highway 1, you will drive through the Navarro River Redwoods State park. Once you hit Highway 1 and the Pacific Coast, head north about 10 miles until you reach the town of Mendocino. Turn left onto Main Street.
Hotel
If you would like to be close to the wedding venue, stay at the Sea Gull Inn. The rooms are quaint and casual but well-appointed, and breakfast is served in your room each morning. There are beautiful gardens on the property and it's right next to the venue.
Hotel
The Alegria Inn is about 4 blocks from the wedding, on the edge of town closest to the ocean. Rooms are located in both the main house and cottages on the property, most with ocean views and all include a full breakfast. They also has have sister property, The Raku House, across the street.
Hotel
Sweetwater is located 4 blocks from the wedding venue. They have cottages with fireplaces, hot tubs and kitchenettes, historic water tower suites, vacation rental homes and cozy Victorian rooms. They also have a new B&B called the Nicholson House Inn and new vacation home rentals as well. Check out their website for more information on those.
Hotel
One of the largest and least expensive hotels in town. There are different options for accommodation and the location is just a block from the wedding.
Hotel
Located about 3-4 blocks from the venue, the Packard House is a beautiful (and updated/more modern) Bed & Breakfast with gorgeous rooms. This would be my choice place to stay. They have a 3-night minimum during our wedding wedding so keep that in mind. Breakfast is included and served each morning downstairs.
