Derek and I met back when we were just teenagers. Both fresh out of highschool. We were both going to HerrinFest for the Florida Georgia Line concert. I, was invited by my cousins, so I was in a truck full of boys I didn't know. Derek sat on my right in the truck and I thought he was amusing because he was just hunkered down in the seat like he was going to be sick. I had asked multiple times if he was going to be okay and he was just quiet as could be. He was quiet that entire night actually. Months later we crossed paths again at a party. We were beer pong partners and every game we played we were unbeatable. Every party after that we managed to find eachother. That summer whenever I was in town he'd show up where I was ended up going to where we were. It was one of the best summers I had ever had. After that summer i went off to college and he off to the army. We didn't really keep in touch, but managed to keep up with eachother's social media posts. We both went in separate directions in life. Later, to run into eachtoher SIX YEARS LATER. One evening I had decided to go on a date at Drake's and during boring conversation I happened to look up and i saw Derek leaving the restaraunt with a girl. Ignoring my date i stood up waving and smiling like an idiot. He of course, blind as a bat, did not see me. So I messaged him telling him so. Since that night we had stayed in contact, leading him to ask me to go to Nashville which I couldn't. So he proceeded to ask me to be his summer travel buddy. I was so in. Then, we had our first date in the exact same place I had seen him six years later. It was an easy kind of first date. Fun and exciting. Like we changed but stayed the same all at once. Since that night Derek and I have been inseparable. I knew when we were young Derek was my person, but I never really thought our paths would cross again. They did. Fast forward to present day we're over three years into our relationship, we bought our first home together, we have two purrfect fur babies; Louie and Lizzie. Derek started a new career at Mount Vernon Police Department. We continue to keep our traveling promise we made to eachother. We take one vacation to Mexico every year for some quality couple time, and in between we go on little weekend getaways. we love Halloween and Fourth of July and just enjoy eachother's company in general. I'm forever grateful to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and my favorite person to live life and make memories with.

We have decided to have a child free wedding for the most part. We have made exceptions for immediate family due to costs of food and venue size. We would like everyone to treat our day as a reason to celebrate and have a couple's night out and really enjoy themselves!
Yes. Our wedding is FORMAL BLACK TIE. All guests must wear BLACK. Please Note: We are so happy to be celebrating with you all and so happy you came to support us. The smallest favor we ask is that the dress code is followed. NO JEANS. NO KHAKIS. NO WHITE.
We have hired Leonard Libations, which is an alcohol trailer. We've created a menu of our favorite drinks and beer. It will be open bar. Special requested drinks can be made if supplies is on hand. We will have beer kegs, strawberry margaritas, spiked lemonade, and crown and coke.
We have hired McKinney Catering. It will be a buffet style walk through, but each person is priced as ONE plate. So that is why it is so crucial that we have your RSVP in time! :)
Yes, we will be doing immediate family photos. We have hired our photographer for a certain time frame and will go off of her schedule to make sure we're running on time and able to get all the desired shots the bride and groom would like to remember this special day! But please do not approach the photographer for individual photos.
Absolutely! We are currently working hard on trying to create QR Codes for those who would rather Venmo or cashap as well. We're trying to accommodate to everyone!
We're going for the more formal outdoorsy type of wedding. Current trends have shown that some dresscodes really make for a cool look for the wedding. I'm currently loving that, as I also have plans of certain family members wearing certain colors so they'll stand out for their part! PLUS: I think black attire is just so sharp and fancy!
IF there happens to be a bad weather day the ceremony will be held in the upstairs area of the barn in the chapel. But let's keep our fingers crossed for no rain!!!
We're planning on going to Mexico! That is our place through and through and we always have the BEST time. We're wanting to splurge a little for the honeymoon to make it the most memorable trip yet. We're wanting to see the Mayan Ruins, snorkle, couple massages, catamarans, and a candle lit dinner for two on the beach.
There will be a photo booth set up, but please supervise your children if they plan to use it. The staff will be there monitoring. There will be a grazing table of finger foods for cocktail hour! Along with a dessert table. We plan on doing individual cupcakes and cookies of all different flavors and a sweet heart cake for the bride and groom.
If there comes a time where any of you have any questions, please contact Cassy! I have all the plans under my belt, Derek won't be able to answer and easily!!! We're looking so forward to celebrating with all of you!!!!!!
