Bryon and I met in 2020 during, you guessed it, the COVID era. One of my friends gave Bryon my number, and I will never forget the first time he texted me. I was helping out at the Pasty Oven Factory, elbows deep in flour when I received a text saying “Hi Cassy, this is Bryon Harper, reporting for duty!” And that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship! At the time, Bryon was living in Cumberland, MD and I was living in Iron Mountain, MI so alas, the long distance relationship began. Although we lived thirteen hours away from each other, there was an instant connection. We talked every single day about everything under the sun and we finally met in person after about a month when Bryon made a trip back to the U.P. Our first date was at Bush Lake, and yes, I met Bryon’s mom on our first date - it was awesome! Throughout the next few months, we would visit each other whenever we could whether I was going to Maryland, Bryon was coming to the U.P., or we were meeting somewhere half way to do a weekend camping trip. Throughout these visits, I met Bryon’s family and friends and he met mine. We were told so many times that we were each other’s perfect match, and we couldn’t agree more! Anyways, we did long distance for about six months until finally, Bryon moved back to the U.P.! In the last three years, Bryon and I have made so many memories. From getting to know each other from afar, to sharing two homes together, traveling to a few different sates for vacations, attending so many of our friend’s weddings, and so much more - the best is yet to come! We cannot wait to celebrate our special day with you all. Let the count down begin!
