Where/How We Met

Once I Pass’d Through a Populous City

That depends who you ask.... David James, being a man of many words, will often open with "India". And pretty much finish there. If pressed further, the story will be complete when he adds "in a hostel". If still not satisfied, you'll be pointed in the direction of Cassie May who will relay full details of those 72 hours spent avoiding Monsoon rains, talking about Walt Whitman, riding in Tuk Tuks, eating street food and drinking cheap Indian whisky on a Delhi rooftop.

The Proposal

We were together; all else has long been forgotten

On our first date, David James booked a surprise trip to Morocco. Many would argue it was an attempt to have Cassie May fall in love with him as they camped in the Sahara desert under the stars. But thanks to a French Air Traffic Control strike, they were faced with a last minute change of plan and a new destination to The Cotswolds in the English Countryside. Fast forward to our 6th date and there was a proposal. Why fix it if it ain't broke, right? We went back to The Cotswolds, staying in a 17th Century cottage in the grounds of a stately home. Cassie May was banished to the top floor of the cottage with her laptop to work remotely whilst David James worked away in the kitchen before recreating Christmas in the lounge, complete with Christmas trees, angel lights and tinsel galore. With the sun quickly being consumed by the winter night, David James hurried along Cassie May's conference call so they could knock back a gin & tonic and unwrap silly presents. David James -- having to tell Cassie May there was no time to try on her elderflower lip balm "cause the sun is going down and we must to go on the Christmas Day walk, a years old Scott family tradition!" (white lies are okay right?) With the light drizzle outside, Cassie May had to be dragged away from taking pictures of the babbling brook to a view point of the Estate. "This is the best Christmas ever", Cassie May said. "You know what would make it better?" David James replied as he dropped down on one knee. This was date 7 (right?)...we're not sure what number date it will be come the 13th October 2018, but we can't wait for you to join us! See y'all in The South!
