FAQs

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

In keeping with the formality of the event, we ask that semi-formal to formal attire, or cocktail attire be worn. Please refrain from shorts, denim, polos, golf attire, revealing hemlines, and white dresses (we don't want the groom confused).

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes. Our venue has a private, free lot for our guests, with parking attendants to direct you on the day of our wedding. However, all cars MUST leave the lot at the conclusion of the reception, so please plan accordingly if you choose to drink.

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

No, we will not provide transportation for our guests. There is ample (free, secure) parking on site. Should you choose to partake in any adult beverages, we do ask that you have a designated driver, or Uber/Lyft to and from our event to prevent any unwanted consequences of drinking and driving. All cars MUST leave the parking lot at the conclusion of our event, or they will not be accessible until business hours on Monday.

Question

Cash or Open Bar?

Answer

We are more than happy to provide non-alcoholic beverages, water, and coffee for our guests. There will be a full bar available for cocktail hour and during the reception as a cash bar. Credit/Debit cards are required for payment, but cash may be brought for tips for the lovely bartenders.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation indicated a plus one, please feel free to bring them and notate their names when you RSVP.

Question

May I bring my children?

Answer

At this time, only those whose children were indicated on the invitation itself are invited to attend. While the event will not be child-free as we have many nieces and nephews between the two of us, we do want to limit the number of children due to space and the fact that it is a smaller, more intimate wedding.

Question

Which hotel should we book at?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at The Loews hotel downtown, but several other options are listed as well within a close distance. Hotels downtown would be the best option but remember that these fill up fast. There is not a home Chiefs game that weekend, but concerts and other activities will quickly book downtown hotels depending on what events are occurring on the weekend of our wedding. Airbnb is another option, but if you need any suggestions, please reach out.

Question

What type of food will be served and can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

At this time, we are planning on a street tacos buffet, but if you have specific dietary restrictions, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can accommodate you.
