Please RSVP ASAP! Deadline is March 20th, 2026
There will be a black-tie dress code day of the wedding. The rehearsal dinner and goodbye dinner will be garden attire. PLEASE reserve all white, ivory, cream, beige, and off-white attire for the bride :)
As much as we love tiny humans, there will not be children in attendance for any of the weekend events!
Since this is an intimate wedding, only those allotted plus ones on their invites can only bring romantic partners.
The ETIAS goes into effect last quarter of 2026. Depending on your travel plans there will be different ETIAS to apply for. For example: Traveling to Italy, which is in the Schengen Zone, requires an ETIAS. BUT the UK requires an ETA which is a different entry/exist document. Most American hair tools will not work properly in Italy without the right converter. Italy uses 220V electricity (compared to 110V in the U.S.), so if your curling iron or straightener isn’t dual voltage, it could short out or stop working. Check your tool’s label — if it says “110–240V,” you’re good to go with just a plug adapter. If it only says “110V,” you’ll need a voltage converter or adapter (CHECK AMAZON) , or it’s best to leave it at home.
There a several ways to get to Villa Cariola Flying into Milan - 2 hour drive to villa Flying into Venice - 1 hour 30 minute drive to villa Taking train from Venice to Verona - around 1 to 2 hours (depending on type of train) Driving or Ubering from Verona to Villa Cariola - 30 to 40 minutes Driving from Lake Garda on the east side - anywhere between 15-30 minutes
Everyone has been assigned a room prior to arrival. Once you check in the front desk will give you keys to your room. You will NOT be paying for the rooms, so if they ask for a card it is only for incidentals.
The closest major city will be Verona. We will be in a very small town at the foothill of the mountains. Please come with arrangements for travel with that in mind. The villa has a massive parking area if anyone decides to rent a car and drive.
The villa is pretty secluded from bigger cities around the Veneto region. We suggest either renting a car (which will require an international permit that you can get at AAA), or hiring a driver. The front desk will be able to arrange taxis and shuttles, but expect to wait up to 20 to 30 minutes.
Overall, yes it is pretty easy to drive in Italy. BUT there are lots of tolls, that can be confusing. IF you are renting a car, please ask the rental place for a transponder. If you do not get a transponder then make sure you are getting in the toll lanes that allows you to get a ticket, you will need this ticket for the toll station after the initial toll.
