We're Getting Married!
Travel
Welcome to the Big Island of Hawai'i! If you've never traveled to Hilo before, here are some travel recommendations and tips.
Flights
There are no direct flights from the continental U.S. into Hilo. There are two options to get here:
1. Fly into a neighboring island (into Honolulu on O'ahu or into Kahului on Maui - the most common layovers) and then take a connecting flight to Hilo. We recommend this option.
2. Fly into Kona (here on the Big Island) and then drive 2.5 hours across the island to the Hilo side.
Transportation
We recommend renting a car. An SUV/Jeep is the best bet for Big Island travel, especially if you are turning this into a vacation! We can suggest fun activities if you are staying for more than the wedding day.
Lodging
You are welcome to camp out on our 1-acre lot, but here are some close accommodations:
