The ceremony will be held in a hiking-access-only spot at treeline above Hoosier Pass. Carpooling is very strongly encouraged as parking is limited. The following are step-by-step directions if driving from Breckenridge: 1. Take CO Hwy 9 South out of Breckenridge 2. Drive approximately 11.5 miles to the summit of Hoosier Pass 3. You will see a large "Continental Divide" sign on the west side of the summit. Park here. 4. On the northern side of the parking area there is a green forest service gate. Begin your hike here. 5. Hike approximately .5 miles up the old jeep track trail. 6. As the trees begin to thin, you will arrive at our wedding campsite. We will have an awning set up with light refreshments for hikers, and a lovely spot in the woods to hangout before the ceremony begins. 7. At approximately 2:45pm our groomsmen and ushers will lead the gathering up a slight hill to the ceremony site. The ceremony will begin at 3pm and be standing room only in a clearing above treeline.

The drive from Breckenridge to the top of Hoosier Pass will take between 20-30 minutes. The hike is not long, but because it is at elevation, we recommend you give yourself more time than you think. We estimate the hiking time range to be between 15-25 minutes. Please plan to be at the wedding campsite by 2:45pm for our wedding party to lead you to the ceremony site. If you arrive early, we will have beverages, light snacks, good company and amazing views to explore at the campsite beforehand! If you have any concerns about reaching the ceremony site, please reach out to Steve or Cassie for alternate options.
We recommend packing sunglasses, water, and warm layers to enjoy your time in the White River National Forest. The weather can be cooler above treeline, so please be prepared with a jacket, sweater, coat, shawl etc. Weather forecasts change daily in the high country, so please keep your eye on the chance of precipitation this week and pack accordingly! We will have light refreshements at the wedding campsite, but in an effort to reduce unneccessary waste, we encourage you to pack your own water in a reuseable container. There are a variety of special use regulations on National Forest Land, so we have accordingly planned a zero-impact wedding ceremony. Out of respect for the National Forest we call home, we ask you please follow Leave-No-Trace principles while enjoying the high alpine and PACK OUT ALL TRASH. We will have garbage containers at the wedding campsite.
No. Please follow all Leave-No-Trace principles if taking a bathroom break in the woods.
