Longmont is an eclectic mix of cowboys and hippies. But mostly hippies. The locals are nice people. There's a handful of breweries and fun shops to check out. Lots of places have rooftop decks or other mountain views. Find yourself a watering hole on Main Street and explore, you can't go wrong.
Lyons is where our venue is located. It's a small town with just a couple blocks of cute shops, bakeries, markets, and a beer garden. There are plenty of hikes in the area and some picturesque mountain views.
Early September is a perfect time to hike in the mountains. See what what kind of "Rocky Mountain High" John Denver was talking about. There's plenty of "front range" small mountain hikes in Lyons or Boulder (20 minutes from Longmont). For the big ones, head toward Rocky Mountain National Park, 45 minutes from Longmont and a scenic drive to the main entrance in Estes Park.
The Buffs play the "Delaware Fighting Blue Hens" on Saturday September 6th (Time TBD). Experience gameday on a foreign campus. It's no Arizona or Wisconsin tailgate, but the Buffs have fun too.
It's a 25 minute drive from Longmont, but we love this place on a nice day. They have good food, fun merch, and cider flights. Mountain views and a pleasant atmosphere. They serve beer too. Stop in Old Town Louisville on your way back.
