Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado. We woke up that morning, our first day in Colorado. It was a BEAUTIFUL day. A little overcast, snow was on its way. We get ready, im deciding on wearing snow pants or not (im a Texas girl, it wasn't even snowing yet, no regrets). Shane was trying to talk me out of the pants, we agreed on bringing them along....just incase. How funny would that have been, on top of a rock in snow pants? Geez, thankful for that man. We get there, Garden of the Gods. My eyes have never seen beauty like this. I needed a picture of us the moment I stepped out of the car. I walked up to a woman who appeared to be bird watching. (lol sounds so silly now but these Colorado people are super outdoorsy) Moving along, she agrees to take our picture. She has a fancy camera hanging around her neck that she was using to "take bird pictures" (I've concocted all this in my head, but this is what my initial thoughts were) She then asks us if she can take some on her camera, I agree excitedly. My imidate thought is, JACKPOT! Free pics, going to ask this lady to email them to me. I turn to tell Shane and he is pulling something out of his inside jacket pocket. Now bare with me, I blacked out. I lost all control. I was hyperventilating. I was shaking. Crying. He gets down on a knee.....and asks me to spend the rest of my life with him. I said YES!!!!!! We have finally found the one not only does our heart desire, but our souls as well. We cant wait to spend this exciting journey with you.
