J’ai dit oui 🤍 5/23/24 — Our Proposal Story | Cassie joyfully said “yes” to Preston on the stunning coast of Corsica, France, during their very first European cruise together. Over the course of 11 unforgettable days, they sailed along the breathtaking Mediterranean coast, exploring the charming and historic towns of France, Italy, Monaco, Corsica, and Spain. From savoring gelato on the sunlit streets of Nice, France, to standing in awe beneath the majestic Duomo Church in Florence, Italy —aptly known as the “house of heaven”—each stop was filled with beauty and wonder. A highlight of the journey was experiencing their first Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco, where they watched Charles Leclerc take first place for Ferrari. Go Ferrari! The most magical moment came in Corsica, France. On a sunny May day, with turquoise waters glistening, sailboats drifting by, and the sound of church bells echoing through the quaint streets, Preston led Cassie to a sea wall overlooking the coast—and there, with the salty sea breeze around them and love in the air, he asked her to be his forever.
The Beginning
The Italians have a beautiful wedding saying: “Dio li fa e poi li accoppia.” It means, “God makes them and then pairs them.” It speaks of a couple so similar, so in sync, that their union seems planned by God Himself. On a sunny summer day—June 5, 2016—Cassie and Preston met, and God’s divine plan quietly began to unfold. The full story will be shared at the wedding, but it all began when the pontoon Cassie was on drifted into the area where Preston and his brother, Jared, were tending to their wakeboarding boat. That spontaneous moment brought together a group of strangers who quickly became close friends—and ultimately, family. Cassie and Preston’s incredible friendship blossomed into a lifelong love. In God’s perfect timing, everything came together just as it was meant to. Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
