Also known as the 606, the Bloomingdale trail was a train line that has been converted into a 2.7-mile elevated span for bikers and runners, art installations, and landscape design. The trail runs from Central Park Avenue on the west end to Ashland Avenue on the east end. Current hours are 6am - 7pm.

Casual spot that Cassie has been going to since moving to the neighborhood in 2010 and where we celebrated Matt's 40th birthday. They are famous for the "horseshoe sandwich" - it is massive, so come hungry.
Open Saturday and Sunday, the bakery is open 8am - 12pm (or until they sell out!) You have to try the Mexican hot chocolate!
Its counterpart downtown, Au Cheval, has been named best burger in the country. Small Cheval offers a more convenient location to try it for yourself.
