We met through a mutual friend (Hi Shelby!) on a bowling night. Lindsey thought Cassie's name was Kelsey and Cassie didn't bother to correct her because she'd "never see this girl again." Cassie had no idea what was coming. :) Two days later, Lindsey took Cassie to a Dixie Chicks concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Lindsey acted a fool because she's such a big fan. Cassie didn't run away. The rest is history!

Cassie has always been great about planning fun date nights so a scheduled night of walking through Descanso Gardens to look at the lights wasn't out of the ordinary. Something about it gave Lindsey a feeling that something special was going to happen but she put it out of her mind. Under the guise of "we need to get a nice photo," Cassie led Lindsey to the fountain (that she had scouted out the day before). Lindsey was distracted by setting up the perfect shot to notice that Cassie was propping her phone up on the ground to film the special moment. Cassie started with "I have a surprise for you." And when it wasn't snacks like Lindsey asked, she knelt down. Lindsey started crying so Cassie popped back up and then proposed. When Cassie put the ring on Lindsey's finger, Lindsey pulled a ring out of her pocket for Cassie! She brought it along just in case. :) We spent the rest of the night walking through the gardens making Lindsey's ring shine in all the lights. :)
