Love, Laughter, & Happily Ever After

Ben and Cassie met their freshman year at Husson University. A floor mate of Cassie's was dating Ben's roommate and introduced him into the group. Ben started hanging out and going to dinner with everyone. As Ben and Cassie got to know one another, they realized how much they had in common and started hanging out more and more. Plenty of laughs, adventures, and food was shared. Ben and Cassie became basically inseparable! It took longer than it should have for either of them to admit they were interested, but when the stars aligned, there was no denying the friendship was becoming more! We went on our first official date on June 30, 2013 to dinner and a movie.

On my (Cassie's) birthday, I came home from work to find a table with two pumpkins sitting in the middle of my living room. I had told Ben about a week before that I wanted to carve pumpkins for Halloween and I thought nothing of it. Ben explained that we were going to have a pumpkin carving contest and that he wanted to record it to post online so people could vote for their favorite. We both have a lot of family and friends online so I thought nothing of that either. I had picked my design and he had picked his, so we began carving. Once finished, Ben told me that he would close his eyes and I would show my design to the camera. So I did! When my design was hidden again, Ben told me to close my eyes so he could show his design to the camera. So I did. He sat back down and told me to open my eyes so we could reveal our designs to one another. Turn the pumpkins on 1...2...3. It took me a minute to realize that Ben's pumpkin didn't have a design necessarily, but the words "Will you marry me?" I of course started to cry and Ben got down on one knee. I said "yes!" and the rest is history. We can't wait to share the start of our next chapter with all of you!
