I graduated high school in 2009. My goal was to become a Nurse. I chose to work in a hospital so I could be around and learn from Nurses. I was so excited to be hired as a Patient Transporter at Del Webb Hospital in Nov 2010. That’s when I met who would be the love of my life, Jesus Gomez, who happened to also be a Patient Transporter. Zuess had a goal to join the Marines, which he accomplished in 2013. Our friendship turned into something truly special. Zuess has always thought about us, been there for us, and would do anything for us. Even writing this now, I think to myself we have 14 years of memories… and I can’t wait to make more with you.

It was a normal evening. I made dinner, it was pretty yummy if I do say so myself. I happened to make extra for my parents and Zuess offered to run it over for them. Unbeknownst to me, he was asking my parents for their blessing. When he got back home I was in my pajamas ok… let’s be real lol. And I’m pretty sure I had dropped a little marinara sauce on them… I hate myself lol. Meanwhile Soph was getting ready for her evening dance class and Zuess reminds Soph to not forget her dance shoes. Zuess and I are just being silly, talking about nonsense. Soph walks back in the living room and shows me that she found her dance shoes. I smile at Soph, then turn to look back at Zuess. He’s now kneeling on the floor holding an open ring box. He’s smiling and his eyes are watering up. I see the most beautiful engagement ring in the open box. The diamond ring was tear drop shaped, making the whole room shimmer with how much it’s sparkling. I hold my hands up to my face in shock, my eyes wide. I tell him “oh my gosh….you have to say it”. So that I can completely grasp what’s happening. And he says “Will you marry me?” and I shout “YES!” I love you completely Jesus Gomez. I can’t wait to marry you, make more memories with you, And grow old with you.
