We first met at a friends wedding and danced the night away in the middle of the dance floor. Zack thinks he was the better dancer but Cassie begs to differ! We went on our first date about 5 months later when Zack knew he was going to live in Minnesota and the rest is history!

After designing the ring together and waiting several months to get it back, Zack finally picked it up on a Wednesday and proposed that night - literally minutes after getting home. The ring has added meaning to both of them as it contains diamonds from Zack's mom's wedding ring, which were gifted to Zack after she passed away in 2010.

When Cassie was younger, she would go with her family to Cragun's Resort for long weekends before school started. Once, about 15 years ago, she said "Some day I want to get married here." When Cassie & Zack started talking about getting married, Zack always said he wanted to get married by a lake. After their engagement, they toured Cragun's Resort and knew this would be the perfect place for the Northern Minnesota Destination Wedding.
