How they met

From middle school crush, To life long love.

As we know, middle school dances hold a lot of pressure. Who are you going with? Which wall will the boys lean against? And the loaded question, who were you going to slow dance with? This month's "Rockin-at-the-Rec" was no exception. Nathan and Cassidy first met at Center Middle School, in Strongsville. The two never really spoke to one another, despite having mutual friends, but they knew enough about one another to have a crush on each other. One of their mutual friends, Darian, saw Cassidy standing alone while a slow song played. Darian knew that Cassidy had a crush on Nathan. So, she took Cassidy's hand and guided her across the dance floor. Then she placed her hand in Nathan's and they danced. Nathan and Cassidy continued to have a crush on one another from a distance, but nothing came of it. High School started and they really lost touch. Nathan moved away and Cassidy stayed at Strongsville High School. Occasionally, Cassidy would see Nathan in the student parking lot of her school, waiting on his friends. They'd wave, exchange a smile and a "Hey! Long time no see!". Even still, their lives went on till eventually school was over. Two Years after graduation, Cassidy found herself job hunting. Applying at just about every business in the Strongsville area, she landed herself a job at Penn Station. The first day came around and while the Manager, Will, was adding Cassidy to the system, she spotted a familiar name on the employee list, Nathan Sluzala. Cassidy was informed, by Will, that Nathan had transferred stores and now worked in Solon. Saddened by the news, she later sent him a message on Facebook messenger, the only contact she had for him. "We would have worked together if you didn't transfer." From there, they began to hang out, they had their first date, and the rest is history.
