What is the Adirondack Woodcraft Camp?

Please feel free to visit their website for more information: https://www.woodcraftcamps.com/ This is a 250 acre property located near the town of Inlet and Old Forge- The property is a Summer Camp in the summer months and a fall wedding location. The buildings are classic Adirondack rustic - if you have any hesitations about your comfort level in a more rustic location please call and we can chat.

Is this an entire weekend

Answer

Yes- please feel free to join from Friday- Sunday. The main gathering and celebration will be held on Saturday 9/25.

Can we bring our children?

Answer

OF COURSE! - please plan accordingly if your child has specific dietary needs.

Can we bring some of our own food for the weekend?

Answer

There will be three group meals during the weekend (Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Dinner, Sunday Breakfast) please note that we have space in large walk in fridges for your to bring any food that you may desire to have as backup options for extra meals or snacking options.

Will there be wildlife?

Answer

Yes please note that this weekend is rustic and we ASK THAT ALL FOOD OR SNACKS BE KEPT IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM DUE TO RISK OF BEAR AND WILDLIFE VISITORS.

What about seating?

Answer

we will have some seating around the property -mostly benches- please feel free to bring lawn chairs if you would prefer to have more comfortable seating for our family weekend.

Do we need to have formal clothing?

Answer

Please be as comfortable as possible this weekend- prepare for activities- bring bathing suit. Layers are a must as the nights can be cool. -please pray the weather is stable - but bring a rain jacket just to be a prepared camper.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes there are plenty of parking options on the property. Most of the cabins you can drive your vehicle to the door and park outside the room. If you are concerned about your mobility please call us and we can discuss options.

Will I have access to cellular or internet?

Answer

NO CELL SERVICE ON THE PROPERTY- lets unplug for the weekend together. -no reliable wireless service. -please note that the local towns do have cellular boosters that will allow you to access your devices. These towns are 10 minute drives in either direction.

Question

Will there be towels, bedding, shampoo etc in our room on the Woodcraft Camp Property?

Answer

If you choose to stay with us on the rustic property please note that you should bring your own towels/bedding/sleeping bag and toiletries. IF you are flying into the wedding please notify us directly as we would love to try to help you have access to these items and keep your luggage lighter!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes. Remember there is no fully stocked bar on the location. We will be providing many drink options including bear, wine and liquor. Please if you have specific tastes or dietary needs regarding alcohol please remember this is your weekend too and we want you happy- please bring your own drink options if you prefer. WE have plenty of space for coolers or space in our walk in coolers.
