FAQs

Question

Dress code?

Answer

Coastal Cocktail Women: Flowy dresses, sundresses, jumpsuits, or anything light and breathable. The breeze in the Outer Banks is real, so fabrics that move (and behave) are your friend. Shoes: sandals, flats, or wedges—heels may become a sand excavation project. Men: Linen shirts, button-downs, polos, or lightweight suits if you’re feeling fancy. Shoes: loafers, boat shoes, or sandals—anything you don’t mind getting a little sandy.

Question

Where is the Ceremony/Reception?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held on the beach in the beautiful Outer Banks, with the reception to follow in the backyard of the rental property. The address is 337 Lindsey Lane, Corolla, NC 27927.

Question

When should I arrive for the Ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 20–30 minutes early to allow time for parking/walking to the beach. Full timeline is available on the Schedule page. Parking is tight at the rental property, so please aim to carpool or take a 5-minute beautiful stroll on the beach from the hotel to the property.

Question

Will the Ceremony be barefoot?

Answer

Totally up to you! Shoes are optional. We will have a designated area for shoes upon entering the Ceremony :)

Question

Is the Reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The reception will be outdoor underneath a tent, so plan accordingly. Bring a jacket or a light wrap as it may be chilly during the later hours of the event.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction or food allergy?

Answer

Our caterer will be preparing and curating dishes on-site and is very flexible with dietary needs. If you have any allergies or restrictions, please let us know in your RSVP so we can make sure you’re well taken care of.

Question

What if it Rains?

Answer

The ceremony will be moved inside to the Sound to Sea property.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes. Rhythm is optional, enthusiasm is required.

Question

What’s the couple most excited about?

Answer

Marrying each other… and throwing a great party with all of you.
