One Night in Vegas

In the spirit of our elopement in Las Vegas, the theme of this event will be “One Night in Vegas". The celebration will take place on a Gateway Clipper cruise of Pittsburgh with dinner and live music by the Bachelor Boys Band. Dinner will capture the spirit of the city featuring perogis and haluski, as well as braised italian beef sandwiches and penne ala vodka.

After our plans to go to Key West for our baby moon last October were derailed, in typical fashion we made a spontaneous decision to go to Las Vegas instead. It was the Thursday before we were set to leave. Within 24 hours we made yet another spontaneous call and made plans to get married. It was less than a week before the wedding. After a cancelled flight that almost caused us to miss it, we arrived in Vegas at 7am. At 12:45pm that day, Thursday, October 3rd, we said "I do" at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel in a pink Cadillac. We couldn't wait to celebrate with friends and family back in Pittsburgh when the time was right.

We met in December 2018 when we were introduced by mutual friends outside the beloved Rex Theater, but our love story didn’t begin until two months later dancing the night away and drumming glow sticks by each other’s side to one of our favorite bands, Lotus. Our next five years together were filled with growth, fun and adventure. Marc went back to school, I started my career, we attended countless concerts, traveled all over the country and even spent a month in Costa Rica. We adopted our cats, Christopher aka Chrissy and Nova, and our dog, Willow. On August 11th, 2023, as we were gazing at the night sky in the middle of the New Mexico desert, Marc proposed and made it official. Nine months later we learned we’d be embarking on our next adventure together: parenthood. On January 15th, 2025 we welcomed our baby boy, Eli James Elsesser, into the world.
