How We Met - Cassidy's POV

9.10.17

I volunteered to be a door greeter for the main doors at the church building, during the month of September. On the second Sunday of the month, I opened the door for a boy I had not seen before. I said good morning, he smiled in response. After service I got in the car and told my sister that I was "going to marry the boy in the red flannel". ( and I 100% meant it.) That evening, I opened the door for him again, only this time he had worked up the courage to talk to me. Later that night, he found me on Facebook, (which proved to be quite a job, considering we had no mutual friends, interests, or anything that would suggest me as a friend. Luckily, I had just posted a few pictures with my favorite girls and tagged their mom, Amber, in them... who Logan knew as a professor at ASU and a member at Greensboro!) and as they say, the rest is history!

Our First Date - Cassidy's POV

9.16.17

Our first date was at an Arkansas State football game. It was a pretty hot and humid September day in the crowded football stadium... which did not work well for the nervous girl that tends to pass out in hot, crowded places. (Hey Maddison, remember that Alex concert?) Long story short, I stood up with the intention of buying an overpriced bottle of water, passed out, and woke up to Logan trying to feed me a cheeseburger. If I were to pinpoint the exact moment I realized that I would love him forever, it would definitely be right then.

The Proposal - Cassidy's POV

7.20.18 - 7.22.18

This story starts on a Friday in July. Logan was at his parents house and I was getting ready to leave for a VBS in Savannah, TN. I wasn't in the best mood for one reason or another and Logan was trying his hardest to pep me up. He even had flowers sent to my house! The next day, I was in Savannah for their VBS and Logan was supposed to be driving back to Jonesboro. Which would have been roughly a four hour drive. Instead he made it a six hour drive and drove to Savannah without me knowing. He waited TWO HOURS at Shiloh in the heat, while my mom tried to get me to do something with my hair, paint my nails, change clothes, and the such. Long story short, moody Cassidy was not being the most cooperative she could have been... sorry mom. My parents then decided that they wanted to “sight see” but actually took me to where Logan was waiting! He proposed, I said yes (nobody cried) and that is how I ended up getting engaged in a t shirt and Keds!
