What do I wear?

Sangeet (Friday evening) Dress code: Formal/ Festive (Bright colors and Indian clothes are encouraged!) Women • Indian outfits such as sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, or salwar suits • Colorful formal maxi dresses Men • Kurta with pants or churidar • Formal suit Hindu Wedding Ceremony (Saturday morning) Dress code: Formal Women • Indian outfits such as sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, or salwar suits • Formal maxi or evening dress Men • Indian outfits such as a kurta set or sherwani • Formal suit Important: Please do not wear red to the Hindu ceremony. Red is traditionally reserved for the bride. Christian Wedding Ceremony & Reception (Saturday evening) Dress code: Black-Tie Optional Women • Floor-length evening dresses or gowns • Indian formal attire such as sarees or lehengas are also welcome Men • Tuxedo or dark formal suit • Indian formal attire such as a sherwani or formal kurta set are also appropriate Important: Please do not wear white, ivory, or cream to the Christian ceremony or reception as these colors are traditionally reserved for the bride. (Mixed designs and men’s dress shirts are fine!)
