FAQs

Question

When and where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, so you won’t have to travel between locations. Ceremony seating will open at 5:30 pm, and guests may park in the on-site garage. The ceremony begins promptly at 6 pm, with cocktail hour and reception to follow.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to wear cocktail attire (or fancier, if you’d like!). Think polished, festive, and celebration-ready. To help the bridal party stand out, please note that the bridesmaids will be wearing burgundy, so we kindly ask guests to avoid that color, as well as white or ivory dresses. Most importantly, wear something you’ll feel comfortable dancing the night away in!

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Guests are welcome to arrive when they’d like, but ceremony seating will not open until 5:30 pm. The museum will be closing early on our wedding day to accommodate the celebration. Parking is available in the Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS) garage.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration (ages 18+), with the exception of a few children close to our family who have been specifically invited. If your child is included, their name will appear on your invitation and again when you go to RSVP on our website. We hope the rest of you enjoy a fun night out!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate whether you have a plus one, and this will also be reflected when you go to RSVP on our website. If your guest’s name is included there, then we’d love to celebrate with them! If not, we appreciate your understanding as we keep our guest list intimate.

Question

What hotel accommodations are available?

Answer

We recommend staying at Hotel ZaZa – Museum District, which is within walking distance of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Guests can access a special museum discount rate using the following codes: - By phone reservation: mention the discount code HMNS - Online reservation: enter the promo code VD19MNS Please note there is not a traditional wedding “room block,” but this discount rate is available through the museum.

Question

Will there be food and drink options for dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes! Our caterer will provide a vegan/vegetarian meal upon request and can accommodate other dietary needs as well. Please let us know when you RSVP if anyone in your party has an allergy or restriction our caterer should be aware of, so we can notify them in advance.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. If you would like to bless us with something more, we have created a registry through Zola, which you can view on our website.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a full open bar serving cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options throughout the evening. Please enjoy, celebrate, and dance the night away with us—but remember to drink responsibly. 💕 For those planning to indulge, we encourage using Uber, Lyft, or a designated driver to get home safely.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras put away during the ceremony. We’ve hired a wonderful photography team and an amazing videographer, and we promise to share their beautiful work with you after the wedding. Thank you for being present in the moment with us!
